how still
the winter landscape
I whisper the Psalms
gold
leaves
drift
to
ground
sunbeam
on
the
water
gold leaves
evergreens
and some blue
in the sky
my reading glasses
rest on a page
of Psalms
part-way through
a good book
half the gold leaves
on the tree
half on the ground
Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning . . .
From Psalm 143: 8
Deep calleth unto deep . . . *
filling my heart with hope
greater than my mind
* from Psalm 42: 7 (KJV)
gold leaves
evergreens
and some blue
in the sky
my reading glasses

They that sow in tears
shall reap in joy.
He that goeth forth and weepeth,
bearing precious seed,
shall doubtless come again
with rejoicing,
bringing his sheaves with him.
Psalm 126: 5-6 (KJV)
