Books by Jan Karon

This Holy Week, I plan to read from Jan Karon’s book, Bathed In Prayer: Father Tim’s Prayers, Sermons, and Reflections from the Mitford Series (Author Copyright 2018; G.P. Putnam’s Sons, New York).

You can learn more about Jan’s books at Jan Karon’s Mitford site.

Yesterday, I wrote about The Mitford Museum and then spent more time learning about all their work. And more to learn!

A good question

Daily writing prompt
How often do you say “no” to things that would interfere with your goals?

I am older now, and I can think of times I set some things aside, or postponed a project, in order to be able to serve or achieve in a more important way. I was able to help with my mother’s care for several years, and she would ask if I was writing. And I was not writing as much then. Far less than now. But I believe my writing is better now for that time. And I could not have imagined blogs back then, but sometimes I read verses in the Bible that seemed to promise my work would grow.

Wait on the LORD:
be of good courage,
and he shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the LORD.

Psalm 27: 14
